چکیده

In the following study, extraction of three pharmaceutical compounds: Diclofenac (DCF), ibuprofen (IBP), and carbamazepine (CBZ) by liquid-liquid their transport supported liquid membrane (SLM) using different commercial extractants (Cyanex 923 (Cy923), trioctylamine (TOA), tributylphosphate (TBP), Versatic Acid 10 (neodecanoic acid)) were evaluated. Cy923 was demonstrated to be an efficient extractant for diclofenac removal through a facilitated mechanism from aqueous feed phase stripping hydroxide ions as agent. Around 80 % these pharmaceuticals extracted in 4 h with without extreme alteration pH. As carbamazepine, conditions achieved 10. Variation concentration indicates that higher can obtained 40 Cy923. addition, two polymeric supports (PTFE PVDF) compared selected operational conditions. Finally, lifetime extended soaking material organic solution under vacuum 24 prepared ultrasound-assisted method. Supported membranes present many advantages easily manipulated integrated treatment persistent contaminants water.

Nitrate removal from aqueous solutions by γ-Al2O3 ultrafiltration membranes

In the framework of understanding the transport mechanism that governs the filtration of NO3- solution through a γ-Al2O3 membrane with a nominal pore size of 5 nm at low ultrafiltration, a series of various types of nitrate solutions and operating conditions were investigated. The effect of filtration parameters such as pH, applied pressure and NO3- concentration on the selectivity and permeabi...

Use of Aloe vera shell ash supported Ni0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles for removal of Pb (II) from aqueous solutions

Background: Lead (Pb) is a heavy metal that is widely utilized in industries. It contaminates soil and groundwater. Its non-biodegradability, severe toxicity, carcinogenicity, ability to accumulate in nature and contaminate groundwater and surface water make this toxic heavy metal extremely dangerous to living beings and the environment. Therefore, technical and economic methods of removing Pb ...

The kinetics of the removal of copper ions from aqueous solutions using magnetic nanoparticles supported on activated carbon

Removal of Cu(II) from aqueous solution supplies is possible through the process of adsorption. One of these processes involves the preparation of magnetic nanoparticles on activated carbon (AC). Adsorbed coppre ions on the surface of Fe3O4-AC are separated from aqueous solutions using external magnetic fields. In the present study, magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized ...

Preparation of Nanochitosan as an Effective Sorbent for the Removal of Copper Ions from Aqueous Solutions

The most important pollutants in wastewater are heavy metal ions. In this paper, the effects of various parameters such as pH, contact time, initial concentration, and temperature on the adsorption of Cu (II) by nanochitosan (NCS) was investigated in batch experiment. Nanochitosan was prepared based on ionic gelation and characterized by means of Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR),...
